Mission: Tanaka Tenma {Completed by Suzume}

In the dark, cold cavern that lay in the Valley of the Clouds, a certain outlaw liked to call, his hideout. Tanaka Tenma, wanted in Sungakure, with a bounty of only 1,000 ryo. He was a B-rank missing ninja, who, for some reason, no one had managed to catch yet. Easy bait for even a strong genin; Tanaka's only good trait was his speed. He was physically very weak, and he used only certain non-elemental ninjutsu. He greatly relied upon the basic three academy jutsus. And his chakra and stamina were rather low, only 250 each. He ahd no summons, and only a rusty katana that he had stolen.

"I can't believe I'm doing something for someone just for a few change... Heh, at least the fight might be worth it..."

Suzume walked around the cavern, careful not to make a sound. There, she saw a silhouette of someone fleeing. He looked as hideous as ever and he was only using a rusty sword. She was told that he was only a Genin but with skills of a chuunin. It will be interesting.

"Yeesh, he looks like nothing I've seen before..."

She drew her rapier and snuck up behind him. There, she pointed its tip behind his back and smiled.

"Hello, little runaway... Care for a little spar?"

With a shrill scream, the man spun around, and looks at your eyes. A look of fear streaks through him, as his watery eyes widen. Without a sowrd, the man throws a smoke momb on the ground, making the area erupt in smoke. With that disguise, the man flees, running further into the cavern. You are left with the following options:

Fight the smoke and go left.

Fight the smoke and go right.

Fight the smoke and go forward.

Give up.

"How persistent...."

Suzume went through the smoke and dashed forward into the clear space. Hopefully, it will lead to the direction where her target is going. If not, she will have to try another direction. She kept going forward with a lot of speed, hoping to find her target.

You successfully manage to avoid the dangers invlolved left and right. As you pass by the smoke, you notice the stalagmites to your left, and a huge pool of shivering cold water to your right. You can see a clear view of the scuttling thief, running deeper and deeper into the cavern.

As he keeps running, your speed and momentum cause loud sounds on the ground. Hearing them, the man looks back and wails out in despair. Keeping on his path, the man apprently jumps, and disappears into nothingness, falling into the ground.

Upon closer inspection, you see that the man has fallen into a pitch black pit. What will you do now?

Jump in.

Refuse to jump in, and throw in a flash bomb/anything of the sort.

Refuse to proceed at all and turn back.

"I hate persistence... I'll just put him out of his misery as soon as possible."

She drew her rapier and jumped in the pit, focusing her chakra on her feet to prevent her from either sinking or enable her to walk on spikes. She kept alert, ready for any surprise attack by either the target or anything else.

You land on solid, hard ground. The whole room is pitch black, you can see nothing. Howeer, you can hear footsteps to your right, matching the pattern of the man's previous running footsteps. Apprently, he had a jutsu which allowed him to see through the dark.

Hearing the footsteps, you are left with the following options:

Chase the man in pursuit.

Use an item to possibly ease your path.

Try to find a way out of the cavern, ignoring the man completely.

Suzume kept on concentrating her chakra, it would help her pursue the man. It was the only possible option for her. Her chakra would speed her up and somewhat muffle her footsteps, and she could clearly hear the man running.

"Stop running and let your misery end now!"

The man keeps running, making chidlish, whimpering noises all the while. He takes a turn left, as you notice by the sound of his footsteps.

As you follow him, you see that he is climbing out of the cave, through a kind of ladder. He climbs all the way up, and disappears.

Now, you...

Climb up the ladder.

Go back.

"How long must this chase go on? Give up already..."

Suzume kept using her chakra concentration to just simply run up the wall and then do a front flip to land cleanly on the ground above. She looked around to see if her target was in sight. Just to be safe, she had her rapier on her hand.

When you emerge on the ground, you see yourself in a dazzling bright light, the sun was shining in full fury. In front of you, were five clones of the man. However, one was the original. Sneering, and with a wheezy breath, the man just stood tehre, waiting for you to attack. He held no weapons in his arms, nor was he about to perofmr a jutsu.

Attack the first/second/third/fourth/fifth.

Flee.

Use an item to your advantage.

"Clone Technique? Smart move, mister..."

Suzume grabbed paper tags from her pouch and she prepared to throw them. SHe jumped up into the air and thre them in a spreaded pattern. Each of the tags stuck directly on the forehead of each of her target's clones as well as the original.

"Heh, let's see you pull that off..."

When each of the tags hit, the man panics, and his clones disappear into thin air before the tags explode. Each of the tags burn simulatneously, making a fine display of fire; the manw as actually the clone to the farthest right. The man drops face-forward onto the ground, comically, as still as a statue, with a huge black mark on his face.

As his scrambles back up, he performed a few hand-seals. Soon afterwards, a short hand emerged from the ground. It extended, making a snakelike arm of earth, and, twisting and twirling, the arm attempts to punch you in the stomach, with moderate speed.

Suzume kept using her chakra concentration and got in a crouched stabbing position as she focused her wind chakra on her blade to make it lightweight.

"You do not know who you are dealing with..."

She crouched down low enough for the attack to only hit her hair and she dashed up to him while staying low on the ground. There, she attempted to stab him upwards, pointing the rapier's tip at her target's chin to attempt an easy kill.

With a quick hand-seal, the man performs a replacement jutsu, making your stab effective, but only against a wooden log. He reappeared a few feet behind you, and, with a few more hand-seals, a rock forms at the man's hand. The man holds the rock firmly, and throws it at your head.

"Oh, give me a break...."

Suzume turned around and canceled her chakra concentration. Then, she focused only a bit of water chakra to her wind-enchanced blade as she stabbed the rock. It sent a powerful pulse of water that shattered it into pieces, also sending a small shock wave towards her target.

ONce again the man begins to panic, and wails out, fearing that he would die at this moment. Petrified with fear, the man squeals as the shockwave hits him, hitting his legs hard; the compressed water heavily damaged his-self.

With the blow successfully making contact, the man dropped on the floor, and began whining like a puppy. He was unable to move at all with his feet.

What will you do now?

Drag him away.

Kill him.

Leave him alone.

"I fear that they might torture you further once you get there... I shall end your misery right now..."

Suzume focused wind chakra on her palm and pointed it at Tanaka's chest. After that, she smiled and bowed her head before dealing the final blow.

"Sleep well..."

She sent a huge pulse of compressed air towards Tanaka's chest, causing huge compression from his ribs. It will hopefully puncture or even rupture his vitals, ensuring a kill and putting him out of his misery.

Just go back to Mission Central and say you killed him.

Leave without claiming the reward at all.

Suzume picked up his body and started walking towards mission central. She'll get her reward and she killed someone to rid her of her troubles. It was a double reward for her.

"That was a nice fight... I should go and rest near the springs after I'm done...."

Aaaand done. ._. Mission passed with flying colors. No double reward though. xD Congrats on your first mission completed, first person killed, and your shiny pack of 1,000 ryo.
